I have listed a new property at 55 Pavilian CRES in Winnipeg.
This is a piece of Winnipeg History that should be kept in Winnipeg if at all possible! This "REAL" Steam Locomotive is located at Assiniboine Park & has been an integral part of Winnipeg. Family architects, partnered w/Andrew, James Buzunis, made this happen in 1964. Train, infrastucture, buildings, bridge remain for new owner w/everything basically done & repaired or replaced (150+/-ties-2021). On opening day in 1966 there were 10,000 riders per day! Includes Train Station (75' x 17') + Concrete apron for passengers (handicap accessible), Trackage, Tunnel (replicates as winter storage for Train, coal/water car & spare passenger car). There is also a spare bldg for the other 2 Passenger cars & over 3/4 miles of track, w/24lb gauge rail. The current capacity is approximately 100 persons per trip & there is an active water tower which holds approx 100 Gals of water. This train today, with it's infrastructure, could not be replaced for anywhere near the asking price of this prized possession!
